Inviting men to raise their hands and pray a prayer is no substitute for the biblical call to repentance, faith, and personal discipleship. Biblical assurance of salvation does not flow from a past decision or a prayer, but from the examination of one’s enduring lifestyle in the light of Scripture.

I dis agree in part with this quote people can have a disciplied enough life to have a moral lifestyle in light of the scriptures without a true conversion – - a true conversion leads to ones death and God alive in you (Gal. 2:20) your lifestyle becomes God’s life – the unfortunate thing is the Churches of today would crucify Christ again if (and when) he shows up there – because it dosen’t match what they concider Godly – nevermind if it’s in the Bible or it’s not if it’s decreed not Godly by the religion, congregation, or Pastor it’s assumed to be so – Jesus upset the religous leaders of his day and a true indwelt, converted, follower of Christ will do the same today!
